NOL CARD
A smart card known as a “nol card” enables users to pay for various public transportation options with just one tap. In Dubai, you can use your Nol card to:
- Dubai
- Metro Buses,
- Dubai Tram,
- RTA taxi
- Transportation by water, such as water buses, ferries, and abras

WHERE CAN WE GET NOL CARDS IN DUBAI?
All of Dubai’s bus and metro stations have ticket vending machines and ticket offices where Nol cards can be obtained. Additionally, you can purchase Nol cards from RTA customer satisfaction centers, online through the RTA website or the S’hail app, through authorized sales representatives, or from certain supermarkets like Waitrose, Carrefour, and Spinneys.
HOW DO I USE A NOL CARD?
In Dubai, passengers using a Nol card must go to the electronic gates at metro stations or the electronic entrance terminals at bus and water bus stations. Place the card over the reader. You can enter the metro station, bus station, or other public transportation hub and begin your journey if there is a beep or a green light, which indicates that your nol card check-in was successful.
The nol car reader verifies your card and subtracts the fare for the trip when you check out. You are expected to follow the same procedure.

CHECK DUBAI NOL CARD BALANCE
With the aid of nol cards Since you no longer need to carry cash to buy tickets, using public transportation has become incredibly convenient. The balance on your Nol card is all you need to remember.
Visit the RTA website, select the “Check NOL Card Balance” option, and enter your nol card number and security code to find out the balance on your card. Click “Check” once all necessary information has been entered.
HOW TO RECHARGE NOL CARD
You will have to add at least AED 20 to your card balance at Metro Station Ticket Offices as of January 15, 2024. Additionally, a round-trip balance of AED 15 is necessary. You can use the top-up feature or just pay online to add credit to your Nol card if the balance is too small. You can use the latter by adding money to your Nol card balance at the ticket offices and vending machines found inside each metro and bus station in Dubai.
